Meet flower Celosia - Cockscomb. It is commonly called the Cockscomb because it resembles the head of a rooster. They are a soft velvety texture. With a tendency to not keeping their green leaf colour for long. I tend to remove all their foliage for this reason. They are long lasting cut flowers, make great feature flowers in arrangements or flower bouquets. Rather than dying they tend to grow mould or getting darker in colour to sometimes turning black. Interesting flower, one I personally like to use whenever in season. Here on the Gold Coast a general guide to the season for Celosia - Cockscomb is from November through to June.  See more here Flower Love
